Your 2-Year-Old Is Not Talking Yet.
The Pediatrician Said Everything Is Fine.
Something Still Felt Off β And You Were Right.
Get the clinical knowledge, the daily strategies, and the expert support that tells you exactly what to do at breakfast tomorrow β so you stop Googling at 11pm and start actually helping your child use words.
LEARN MOREYou Are Not Overreacting.
You left the 18-month appointment with a clean chart.
"Everything looks great. Speech develops at its own pace. Give it a little more time."
You nodded. You smiled. You buckled him into his car seat.
And then you sat in the parking lot for a minute before you started driving β because something still felt off.
You are . You have done everything right.
You read the books. You turned off the TV. You narrate everything β the laundry, the snack, the bath, the dog. You point at things and name them. You have been doing this for six months since the last appointment.
And your 24-month-old still points at the counter and grunts until you guess what he wants. He still drags you by the hand to the pantry and whines when you pick the wrong thing. He still melts down at dinner because he cannot say *different cup* or *not that one* β so he just pushes the plate away and cries.
And you are standing in your kitchen thinking: I am doing everything I am supposed to be doing. Why isn't it working?
You Googled "24 month old not talking" at 11pm last Tuesday while your husband slept.
You found a developmental milestone chart that told you 50 words by age 2. You counted. He has 8. Maybe 9 if you count the sound effect he makes for the dog.
You went to the 2-year checkup with your pediatrician the next morning and they told you to just keep monitoring things. You asked the local momβs group on Facebook for speech therapist recommendations in your area but when you called the waitlists were 3 to 8 months long. By the time he gets an evaluation β he will be nearly 3.
And you keep thinking about what you read online: the window between 18 months and 3 years is the most critical period for language development.
That feeling in your chest is not anxiety. It is your instinct β and it is correct.
You do not have 6 more months of wondering.
You need something to do tonight.
The Real Problem
Here is what nobody explained to you at the 2 year checkup appointment.
The reason your toddler is not talking yet is not because he is a boy. It is not because of screen time β at least not the way you think. And it is not because you are doing something wrong.
Here is what is actually happening.
Language development is not memorization. It is not about being a βtougherβ parent and withholding things until your child says the word. It is not about flashcards. It is not about narrating your morning routine louder or more consistently.
Language is built through something called a serve and return loop.
Your child does something β a sound, a gesture, a look, a point. You respond. They respond back. That back-and-forth exchange is the actual mechanism of language development. It is happening β or it is not happening β dozens of times every single day. In the kitchen. At snack time. During bath. In the car.
When the serve and return loop is missing β or when it is being accidentally short-circuited by the very strategies parents are told to use β the brain does not get the repeated input it needs to build the connection between wanting something and having a word for it.
Your toddler is not lazy. They are not stubborn. They are not "just not ready."
They are waiting for the right kind of interaction β and no one has told you specifically what that looks like at 7:30am when you are making breakfast and they are pulling on your leg.
Speech apps cannot do this. Flashcards cannot do this. Neither can fancy new toys.
Only you can.
Because you are there at 7:30am. You are there at snack time. You are there during the bath. You are there for the 19 interactions that happen between therapy sessions β and those 19 interactions are where the word actually lands.
The therapist targets the word in the session. Home is where the word actually happens.
You are not a substitute for an SLP. You are the SLP's most powerful partner. And right now, you are the only person in your child's daily life with the potential to change what the next 6 months looks like.

A place to share what is working, ask what is not, and not feel alone in this. Amy is present and responds directly.
π A New Clinical Resource Every Month
A new tool, checklist, or reference guide added to the Say More Strategy Library every month β built around what members are asking and what Amy is seeing clinically. This is not a static program. It grows. Every month you get something new you can use today.
Hi, I'm Amy.
I did not become a Speech-Language Pathologist because I read about it in a textbook.
I grew up next door to my uncle.
He had special needs. And from the time I was old enough to understand what that meant β which was earlier than most kids, because in my family it was just life, just Tuesday, just the way things were β I understood that communication was not something you could take for granted. That the ability to say what you meant, to ask for what you needed, to tell someone you loved them or you were scared or you wanted the blue cup and not the green one β that was not guaranteed. And that the people around you either knew how to help build it or they did not.
My grandmother knew. She was one of the founding members of the CCARC β an organization started in 1952 by a group of parents who pulled their kitchen chairs together in each other's homes because the system had nothing for them and their children needed more assistance. Parents who decided that if no one was going to hand them the knowledge and the support, they would build it themselves. For each other. For their kids.
My aunt went into special education. My mother went into special education. And I watched both of them do what my grandmother's generation had started β bridge the gap between what the clinical world knew and what families could actually use at home, today, in the real moments of their real lives.
That became my career path. Not by accident. By design.
I became a Speech-Language Pathologist because I grew up in a family that understood β at a cellular level β what it costs a child when the people around them do not have the tools to support their communication. And what it gives a child when they do.
After years of clinical practice working with toddlers and their families, I kept seeing the same pattern.
The parents who got results fastest were not the ones whose children had the most sessions.
They were the ones who understood why the strategies worked β and applied them at home. In the kitchen. During bath. In the 19 ordinary moments between sessions where the word either lands or it does not.
The therapy room targets the word. Home is where the word actually happens.
My grandmother's generation sat in each other's kitchens because they needed support and the system was not giving it to them. They built it themselves.
I built the Say More Membership for the same reason.
Because every parent sitting in my waiting room β every parent Googling at 11pm, every parent who left the pediatrician appointment with a clean chart and that feeling in their chest β deserves what my grandmother's generation fought to build for each other. A clinical expert in their corner. Plain language. Real strategies. Something to do today, before another six months passes.
You should not have to wait for a waitlist to start helping your child.
What parents inside the Say More Membership are experiencing:
"I had been on the waitlist for 4 months. I joined because I needed something to do while I waited. By week 3, my 22-month-old said more at the breakfast table without me prompting him once. I actually cried. I had been waiting for that word for 8 months."
"My pediatrician told me everything was fine at the 18-month appointment. My son was 26 months and still only had 6 words. I knew something was off but I felt crazy saying that when I had a clean chart in my hand. Amy was the first person who said β your instinct is right and here is what to do about it. That was worth more than I can explain."
"We were already in speech therapy once a week. But I was going home after every session and doing nothing differently because I did not know what I was supposed to do. The Say More System changed that completely. Now I know exactly how to extend what happens in the session into our actual day. His SLP noticed the difference within 3 weeks."
"I had downloaded every speech app. I had the one with the flashcards. I had the one with the sounds. My daughter would sit with it for 20 minutes and I thought she was learning. She was not using a single new word. Amy explained in about 4 minutes why apps cannot build communication β and it completely changed how I understood what my daughter actually needed from me. I felt so relieved and so stupid at the same time."
A moment from the clinic:
I had a client β 19 months old. He pointed at everything. Grunts, gestures, the full-hand reach toward whatever he wanted. Beautiful comprehension. Followed every direction. Understood far more than he could say.
In our sessions he would not attempt a new word. Not once. He would watch me. He would listen. And then he would go home.
Two weeks after I taught his mother one specific verbal routine to use during his morning snack routine β she sent me a voice note at 8:14am on a Thursday.
"He said open. He picked up his yogurt pouch, handed it to me, and said open. I don't know if you can hear me crying but I'm crying."
He did not say it in my session. He said it at the kitchen table with his mother.
Because that is where words actually land. In the comfortable routine. With the person he trusts most. In the moment that mattered to him.
That is what the Say More Membership gives you. The clinical knowledge to be that person β consistently, every single day.

FOUNDING MEMBER RATE β LIMITED TIME
This is the Founding Member rate. It is available for a limited time only β to the parents who join while the Say More Membership is in its earliest days. Once this window closes, it closes permanently. Founding Members lock this rate forever. It never goes up. Not next month. Not next year. Not ever.
Let me show you what $19 is sitting next to.
One private speech therapy session
costs between $100 and $150 out of pocket β depending on where you live and whether your insurance covers it. That is one 30 to 45-minute session. One set of targets. One week of goals you go home with and are not always sure how to carry into Monday morning breakfast.
The Say More Membership is $19 a month. For four weeks of strategy, live access to a clinical SLP, a full library of resources matched to your child's age, and a community of parents doing the same work alongside you.
The speech app you downloaded
the one with the flashcards and the animal sounds and the word repetition drills β costs $9.99 to $19.99 a month. And it cannot respond to your child. It cannot serve and return. It cannot notice that your child looked away and adjust. It cannot hear the difference between an attempt and a sound. It gives your child something to look at. It does not give your child a communication partner.
You are the communication partner. The Say More Membership teaches you how to be that β in the exact moments that matter.
Six more months on the waitlist
costs something that does not show up on a bank statement.
It costs six more months of that feeling in your chest every morning when he points at the counter and grunts. Six more months of meltdowns at dinner because he cannot say what he means. Six more months of watching the other kids at daycare ask for snacks and sing songs and string two words together β while you count his words on one hand and wonder if you are missing a window that is closing.
The waitlist is real. The window is also real.
You do not have to choose between them. You can be on the waitlist AND be doing something that matters every single day while you wait.
That is what the Say More Membership is.
$19 a month.
Less than one out-of-pocket speech therapy session. Less than two months of a speech app that cannot do what you can. And infinitely more than six more months of Googling at 11pm and getting no closer to an answer.

You Can No Longer Afford To Wait
Here is what another six months looks like if nothing changes.
Your 24-month-old turns 30 months. He still points. He still grunts. The meltdowns at dinner are longer now because he has more opinions and fewer words to express them. You have gotten good at guessing β so good that you sometimes wonder if you are accidentally making it easier for him not to talk because you always figure out what he means before he has to try.
You are still on the waitlist. You moved up 11 spots in 6 months. You have 34 more to go.
You downloaded a new speech app last month. He likes the animations. He can match the animal to the sound on the screen. He still cannot say more or open or help or different β the words that would change your morning, your snack time, your dinner, your bedtime.
You are still Googling at 11pm. Different searches now β "30 month old still not talking" and "is 30 months too late to start speech therapy" and "what happens if a toddler doesn't talk by age 3."
That feeling in your chest is still there. It is louder now.
That is Path A. And it is a real path. It is the path that happens when the system tells you to wait and see β and you do.
Here is what the next six months looks like inside the Say More Membership.
It is a Tuesday morning. Your child is 26 months old. You are making breakfast β the same breakfast you make every Tuesday β and he walks over to the counter, looks up at you, and says open.
Not because you drilled it. Not because you repeated it 19 times while holding the yogurt pouch. Because you spent the last 8 weeks building the kind of serve and return loop at breakfast that gave his brain what it needed to connect the wanting to the word.
You hand him the yogurt pouch. He pulls at the top. You wait. He looks at you. He says open again.
You open it. He takes it and walks away.
You stand at the kitchen counter for a moment before you do anything else.
Because that word β that one word at 7:22am on a Tuesday β is the word you have been waiting for. And it did not come from a session. It did not come from an app. It came from a Tuesday morning in your kitchen because you knew exactly what to do and you did it.
That is Path B. And it starts the moment you join.
The difference between Path A and Path B is not the waitlist. It is not the evaluation. It is not a diagnosis or the absence of one.
The difference is whether you spend the next six months waiting β or whether you spend them doing the specific, clinically grounded, daily work that actually builds communication in the routines your child already lives in.
You already have the most important tool in your child's language development. You are in their home. You are in their kitchen. You are there for the hundreds of interactions between sessions that the SLP never sees.
The Say More Membership teaches you how to use that.
Every week you wait is a week of breakfasts, baths, car rides, and snack times that passed without the interaction that builds the word.
JOIN TODAYYou already knew something was off.
You have known it for months.
The pediatrician sent you home with a clean chart. Your gut sent you here.
Inside the Say More Membership, you stop being the parent who Googles at 11pm hoping the next article finally explains what to do.
You become the parent who knows exactly what to do at 7:30am β and does it.
Not because you have a clinical degree. Because you have clinical knowledge, translated into your actual morning, by an SLP who has sat across from hundreds of children like yours and watched their parents become the most powerful tool in their child's language development.
You are already with your child for 167 hours a week.
The Say More Membership teaches you what to do with them.
Your child does not need you to be a speech therapist.
They need you to be the communication partner that only you can be β because you are the one at the breakfast table, in the bath, in the car, at bedtime.
You are already there. The Say More Membership tells you exactly what to do when you are.
Imagine it is four weeks from today.
Your child is 25 months old. You are at the snack table β the same snack table you sit at every afternoon. You put the crackers in the bowl. You wait.
He reaches toward the bowl. He looks at you. And instead of the grunt β instead of the whine β he says more.
One word. Spontaneous. Unprompted.Β
You were not in a therapy room. You were not running a drill. You were sitting at your kitchen table on a Wednesday afternoon doing exactly what the Say More Membership taught you to do β and it worked.
That moment does not happen because you waited.
It happens because you joined today.
